Vauxhall to Release Three More Griffin Special Edition Models

Added: 05 April 2019

The British manufacturer is to further expand its iconic Vauxhall Griffin range with a trio of stunning Special Edition models befitting a badge that has satisfied motorists for over 115 years.

Following the success of the Griffin Corsa hatchback at the back end of 2018, the three new models are sure to bring even greater value to the iconic Vauxhall range. Let’s take a sneak peek at the three models now:

The Vauxhall Adam Griffin Special Edition

At £14,410, the Vauxhall Adam Griffin is just £550 more than the entry-level Adam Jam. The 69bhp non-turbocharged 1.2l engine offers a five-speed manual gearbox that focuses on smooth and easy driving. It’s a simply city car with family life in mind, but with added comfort.

The car comes with 17” black alloy wheels while the infotainment system is upgraded to a super smart 7” touchscreen option. Cruise control and Sat Nav facilities are among the upgrades that make this feel like a vehicle of added luxury and comfort. The Black Jack roof and door mirrors are a winning feature too.

Available in multiple colours including blue, red, black, white, and grey, the Adam Griffin builds upon the success of the standard models to inject an extra sense of fun and exclusivity that’s ideal for the modern family or city driver.

The Vauxhall Astra Griffin Special Edition

The Astra has been a gem in the Vauxhall crown for many years, and the Griffin upgrade is one that’s sure to be another huge hit for the hatchback. It is available as a 134 bhp diesel engine or 148 bhp 1.4-litre turbo unit petrol version.

A heated steering wheel is included in the Vauxhall Astra Griffin, as are heated seats, electronic climate control and automatic wipers. Meanwhile, the standard 16” alloys are upgraded to two-tone 18” alloys. The new Griffin edition is available in silver, black, white, grey, red, and blue. Automatic and manual options are on offer.

The 5-door hatchback starts at £18,660 for the petrol (just £300 more than the 1l Design model) while the diesel variant is around £2k more expensive. The added comfort and noticeable performance features make it a worthwhile upgrade.

The Vauxhall Mokka X Griffin Special Edition

The highly popular Mokka X SUV is also due for an upgrade via the Griffin Plus model, which introduces 19” alloy wheels alongside heated seats, a heated steering wheel, electronic climate control and automatic windscreen wipers.

Two engines (1.6l diesel 134bhp and 1.4l turbocharged petrol) are available with six-speed manual transitions. The Griffin Plus Special Edition starts at £19,775, which is even cheaper than the previous Mokka X Design. Even when opting for the 1.6l diesel, it offers exceptional value for money.

The limited-edition SUV is available in a range of colours including red, white, black, silver, and orange. It will also be available in manual and automatic regardless of whether you choose petrol or diesel.
