There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the new Mokka from Vauxhall. But finally, there is some concrete information available -- and it shows that the hype was entirely justified; the second-generation of the Mokka looks set to be a huge hit for drivers and industry experts alike. While a launch date hasn’t yet been announced, it seems as if Vauxhall is working on putting the final touches on the vehicle, so we can expect to see it in showrooms soon, most likely in the early stages of 2021.
But what’s there to get excited about, anyway? Well, plenty. This small SUV will possess much of what people love about this type of vehicle. For starters, it looks good -- though it’s not always considered to be the most important factor, there’s no denying that the design of the vehicle, especially an SUV, is important. Furthermore, it’ll be available in a variety of engine types, including ICE and all-electric. The design is all-purpose and fierce; it gives off the impression of a highly capable SUV, which in fact, it is.
The world is shifting to electric cars, that much is clear. The Mokka looks set to become part of that movement. There’ll be a choice of engines. These will include ICE and full-electric options. The Mokka-e will comprise a 50kWh battery that’s capable of delivering some 191lb of torque and which can pump out 134 bhp. You’ll hit around 200 miles in normal mode, and a little bit further when you’re in eco mode.
That’s what’s under the hood, what about in the cabin? The Mokka will feature a high-tech system that’s in line with other SUV models in this class. Adaptive cruise control, lane following, and a 180-degree reverse camera are all included. You’ll also find Android Auto and Apple CarPlay too.
If you’re in the car manufacturing industry, then you can’t afford to stay still for too long. It’s important to keep up with what your competitors are doing. Vauxhall aren’t just looking to keep up with the industry shifts; they’re looking to leap ahead and become trendsetters themselves. The launch of the new Vauxhall SUV will launch the manufacturer into the future. One of the side effects of the Mokka will be that it’ll change how people view Vauxhall. Or at least that’s the impression of Stephen Norman, who functions as the managing director of Vauxhall. As he says, “the new Vauxhall Mokka will change people’s perception of our brand.” And it’s not hard to see that this will be the general impression of the vehicle. It’s not only fantastically designed and innovative but also fun and highly capable.
As we can see from the above, the hype surrounding the Vauxhall Mokka was understandable. Thankfully, it seems as the British car manufacturer will not disappoint. Signalling a new era for Vauxhall, we can expect plenty of new and exciting vehicles to follow on from the launch of this SUV.
