On May 21st at Drive Vauxhall Darlington there will be a raffle in which people will have the chance to win a brand new Vauxhall Corsa. This is to help the local St Teresa’s Hospice and as well as the support from Drive Vauxhall, the troops at Catterick Garrison are also helping to promote this event.
The 1.4L hatchback comes with many great features, such as a sat nav, Bluetooth, air conditioning, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, auto windscreen wipers, 16 inch black alloy wheels, tinted rear windows and electrically controlled heated door mirrors.
Drive sales manager Chris Wilson said: ‘This prize draw is for a great cause and I think it is really important that local businesses do whatever they can to help support local charities.’ He went on to speak of Drive’s continued support to St Teresa’s hospice and that just because businesses move does not mean links should be broken, especially important links with local charities.
All profits from the draw will go towards helping fund the hospice on Woodland Road, Darlington, which provides free care and support for citizens of Darlington, south-west Durham and North Yorkshire who suffer from life-limiting diseases. St Teresa’s Hospice needs to raise in excess of £3m a year in order to carry on the services and so when companies such as Drive Vauxhall help out – this makes a huge difference.
The raffle does not only offer the brand new Vauxhall Corsa but also other donated prizes such as a lawn mower, a pair of children’s bikes and a weekend getaway in the Lakes. As mentioned earlier, the draw will take place on May 31st at Drive Vauxhall Darlington at the cost of £2 each. The tickets will be available to buy from the hospice reception, St Teresa’s charity shops, Catterick Garrison, shops and events across the region, including St Teresa’s annual Bark in the Park at South Park on April 28th.
