First Vauxhall PHEV to be the Hybrid4 Grandland X

We live in an age where we’re better informed than ever about the impact our decisions as consumers have on the planet. We’re all doing our best to live more sustainably to help protect the planet we share. With this in mind, many are drawn to hybrid and electric cars and Vauxhall are rising to the challenge of meeting consumer demand for more eco-friendly vehicles. At Drive Vauxhall we’re excited to share the news with our customers that Vauxhall’s first hybrid vehicle launches this year. The Grandland X, which uses Hybrid 4 engine technology, combined with an all-electric version of the ever-popular Corsa are poised to take the world of sustainable motoring by storm.

A Hybrid future

We’ve noticed an increasing demand among our customers across the country. We know that our customers in across the North East, South West, East Anglia and the Midlands are as excited as we are to see how Vauxhall have risen to the challenge of creating a new generation of more sustainable passenger cars and vans.

Hybrid vehicles can not only help your household to significantly reduce its carbon footprint, they can also be cheaper to maintain than their petrol-driven counterparts. Not to mention the significant savings on fuel costs throughout the year.

Still, there’s more to Vauxhall’s first PHEV vehicle than economy. The Grandland X also offers a sensational driving experience. Let’s take a closer look...

About the new Grandland X

We know that our customers won’t want to miss out on the new Grandland X. Vauxhall’s first plug-in hybrid embodies the brand’s core values- Ingenious. Progressive. Approachable. It is powered by an engine that harnesses Hybrid 4 technology, combining either a 1.2 litre petrol or 1.6 litre diesel engine with two electric motors powered by a 13.2 kWh lithium ion battery. This means that drivers get to enjoy a robust maximum 300bhp, while knowing that they’re producing CO2 emissions from just 88g/km. Combined fuel consumption clocks in at an impressive 128mpg. The battery is capable of powering up to 30 miles of driving in all-electric mode. What’s more, fuel economy is enhanced by a suite of intelligent driving systems like start-stop technology, regenerative braking and an intelligent driving mode which will always choose the most efficient way to travel.

Needless to say, Vauxhall doesn’t expect you to sacrifice comfort for performance and economy. In fact, you can quite literally rest easy with seats designed in collaboration with German back-care specialists AGR for peak ergonomic comfort. The interior is spacious and tastefully designed while active ventilation helps to maintain a comfortable and pleasant temperature throughout your drive.
